No nOnSeNse...

Hey! Long-time-no-post days for me( actually months). It's because of my too-busy world and because of some few assertions that you might find too much with my own dilemma but I'm telling you that this much is true. Many stories have been told from millions of books that have been published and unpublished. Multitude of ideas unleashed from enormous league of human thinking and different bookmarks from the libraries of knowledge based on variety of emotions that lifted the human spirit and made him into what he has not been before. Now I asked myself: “Would I be able to tell my own whole different kind of story?” “Would my stories stand out the rest?”( The tons of books and literatures bothered me.) These are the questions that lead me to write this scribbling that you are reading right now. The moment I have made you read this stuff, is already a whole heck of a difference isn’t it? Not to mention my own innuendoes about life. It reminds me as well of Leonardo da Vinci’s quote, “ The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions.”

I do believe, that man was made by God to create a big difference. Man in himself is the superior of all creation because of our big difference among the rest. If genes of an identical twins have never been the same in its genetic sequence nor genetic make-up, in a similar fashion, stories are not created to be of same kind. Now, there might be deja’ vu’ in to some, but never really made it exactly nor absolutely the same for all of them.

This is also what my conviction tells me being a Christian. While I’m reading the “Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren, I interrogated myself if I could be able to do and write the same masterpiece as he did. And I finally realized that Rick Warren has been created for his own purpose as entirely different to what I’m for. God himself is the big difference. Without him we are nothing. The existence of man is one of the most amazing creations God ever made from his collection of splendor things.

I also believe that deep into our souls we have a special gift; that could somehow touch other people’s life in a special way that we can make this world a better place to live. Each and every one of us has a talent, a potential and little bit of genius just wating to be tapped.

Sometimes, I asked myself: Do I really want to be the best darn doctor ever? Myself answered me: YES; but a certain point that suddenly something popped out in my mind, and it hit right straight into my soul: what kind of a doctor would I be? And how different amongst the generations and generations of doctors that graduated from medical school would I become? These are the things that made my genes wanted to write this piece, because….no matter how good and the best doctor I become----still, everything in this life is inevitably coming to an end. What difference is it to save a dying baby, when he entered into elderly he still awaits for his “death fairy” in some point in time? Fighting a cancer from a terminally ill patient would neither give the patient an everlasting life. Doctors save and prolong life alright, but let’s get straight to the point: everybody still dies. You might be thinking right now how radical I sound to you, right? Wrong! Chew it or not but that’s what life really is. This enigma continuously hurdles into the facets of our mind or thinking that will wishfully resolve on its own.

Meanwhile, many writers I’ve heard and read their articles that they write best when they are in their great moods. Oh boy, poor me because I’m not in great mood today while I’m writing this story. And yet, I can’t help myself scribbling this thoughts while even in my most depressive moments. For I consider writing as one of the many ways of releasing stress.

When I was reluctantly examining the tons of P99-peso books at the National Bookstore, I remember what Bo Sanchez said, “You don’t have to spend a lot of money just to read expensive, budget-consuming books, live life simply and go to book sales;” and that day, was indeed, a good-sale day for me. A typical bookworm I was when I minced each book from cover to cover just to find the right one for me. What really is the major, from the many of the factors which makes us choose the right kind of a book, a perfect book or at least the one that is fitted for us? Is it the personality what weighed the most? I guess.

There are readers who are multiple personality though. They read books of any kind and of all sorts. Uh oh … I think I’m one of them. However, no matter how bipolar I become to books, still there would always be the real side of me, the right personality and the best type of book that best works for me.

At last I found one. The message was what struck me the most: “Oh the Things I know!” by Al Franken Ph.D. (Hon.) Dr. Franken, he calls himself. A book he has written, not so long ago, about guides to success, or failing that happiness( in his intro). Luring huh!? I started to get into couple of the pages till I finally noticed that this cheap price of a book might indelibly ruin the GMRC (Good Manners And Right Conduct) of the readers. With an affordable price that makes it more easily accessible for the vast array of bookworms in the whole world; thus, the more cheap it is the more victims it could capture.

Writing is a freedom. It’s one of the rights vested to us to say, “ Everybody is entitled to his own opinion anyway,” and this is what I stand. His humor is really hilariously captivating, but unfortunately conscience-bothering afterwards. I like his style though, that made me confused of my conviction as a Christian. Oh, he is an unbeliever I forgot. What’s the assurance that I claim that he’s not!? When his aim is to help and make his pieces of advice that somehow could be a life-saving wand for somebody. Well it’s really all up to you on to what type of a book you would really want to read. Perhaps, what triggered you to read this article may just be one of those factors.

Sometimes we read books just for the heck of it. Doesn’t really matter what benefits will it offer to us. To some, reading is one form of entertainment but to others its just a waste of time. Yet most of us read books from one book to another because of the functional information it brings to the reader. For far too many, their love for reading isn’t more than just a hobby but more than what life opens us into a new world of fantasies a reader enjoys.
